Technology at Huron
All classrooms at Huron are equipped with either a desktop or laptop computer and have Internet connectivity, both wireless and wired. Classrooms also have a sound amplifier and speakers.
Computer Lab Hours
Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm
Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 7:00pm

We provide all standard software packages plus some specialized software required by Huron's economics, psychology and language courses.
Scanning is free in the Lab and printing is 10 cents a page. Huron's Lab is staffed so there is always someone available to assist with software or printing problems. There are 25 computers in the instructional side of the lab and 4 computers plus one Mac on the drop-in side.
Audio Visual equipment for classroom presentations can be signed out from this location. The computer lab is not officially open during the summer but if staff is available, they will provide access.
RezNet is Western's preferred internet service provider:
- Wireless service throughout residence
- High speed wired service in each bedroom
- No monthly bandwidth limits
- Excellent student support team
RezNet is your secure internet connection in residence. Students in residence will receive a RezNet handbook on move-in day which will provide instructions on how to connect. Students can either use the wireless service or connect to RezNet with an internet cable.
Cost: $395 for 8 months (included in your residence fee)
Signing Up: The RezNet fee is included in your residence fee. On Labour Day help is available in the Computer Lab to assist you in setting up your RezNet. After Labour Day, assistance is available during regular office hours or by contacting the RezNet Hotline at 519-661-4225.
Opting Out: You cannot opt out of RezNet as it is included in your residence fee.
In order to prevent your computer from getting viruses it is recommended that you install all of the patches available for your operating system before you arrive.

The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Either the server is overloaded or there is an error in the application.
